Director of Operations
Position Summary
The Director of Operations is responsible for leading all operational aspects of a multi-concept hospitality destination featuring independently operated food and beverage concepts, pickleball courts, and live entertainment.
This role serves as the central operator and integrator of the entire ecosystem, ensuring each component operates with excellence while contributing to a cohesive, high-energy guest experience. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, hands-on leader who can balance structure with flexibility, manage independent operators, and create a culture of ownership, hospitality, and execution across the property.
Key Responsibilities
Ecosystem Leadership
- Oversee the full operation, including all vendor partners, shared spaces, entertainment, and amenities
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for the overall guest experience across the property
- Align all independent operators with established standards, expectations, and brand vision
- Create a seamless, unified environment across multiple concepts and experiences
Vendor & Partner Management
- Lead relationships with all food and beverage operators, ensuring compliance with operational standards
- Set and enforce expectations around cleanliness, service, hours of operation, and guest interaction
- Support operators in improving performance while holding them accountable to agreed standards
- Coordinate communication, meetings, and alignment across all partners
Guest Experience & Atmosphere
- Champion an exceptional, high-energy guest experience across dining, recreation, and entertainment
- Oversee flow of service, seating, and shared space utilization (indoor/outdoor/patio)
- Ensure the environment is vibrant, safe, clean, and welcoming at all times
- Resolve escalated guest issues and continuously improve the overall experience
Programming & Activation
- Oversee execution of live music, events, and programming in partnership with leadership
- Ensure pickleball courts, stage, and common areas are fully utilized and operating smoothly
- Collaborate on event strategy to drive traffic, engagement, and repeat visits
- Coordinate logistics for events, including staffing, setup, and guest flow
Financial Performance
- Drive overall property-level financial performance
- Monitor revenue streams including rent/participation, events, and ancillary income
- Identify opportunities to increase sales, optimize costs, and improve efficiency
- Partner with ownership on budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking
Team Leadership & Culture
- Build and lead the on-site operations team (managers, supervisors, support staff)
- Establish a culture of ownership, hospitality, and excellence across the entire property
- Coach and develop leaders who can operate independently with high accountability
- Lead by presence—this role is highly visible and engaged on the floor
Operational Systems & Standards
- Own the Profit and Loss statement. This role is responsible for all financial aspect of the business
- Develop and implement SOPs for shared spaces, safety, cleanliness, and guest flow
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local regulations across all operators
- Create scalable systems that support future growth of the concept
- Continuously identify and solve operational inefficiencies
Openings & Growth
- Lead operational execution for the launch
- Hire an exceptional, industry-leading leadership team and oversee the hiring of all hourly positions
- Assist in onboarding new vendors and concepts
- Contribute to future expansion and replication of the model
Qualifications
- 7–12+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, preferably in multi-unit, food hall, or complex venue environments
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders or independent operators is highly preferred
- Strong operational instincts with the ability to manage both detail and big picture
- Proven ability to build teams and lead culture in dynamic environments
- Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and performance metrics
- Comfortable in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and evolving concepts
